Offender Based Intervention (OBI) Services

Our Offender-Based Intervention (OBI) Services provide an evidence-based approach to intervene with patients identified as exhibiting early signs and/or presenting high-risk factors for substance use disorders.

OBI patients participate in New Direction Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy intervention sessions twice a week. During the sessions, patients learn to identify the distorted thinking patterns that are at the core of substance use disorders and criminal behavior. As individuals become aware of their thought patterns, they are able to replace those distorted thoughts and make healthier choices.

To participate in the OBI Program, clients and/or their referral sources must call Pillars4Hope at 843-538-4343 to make a new client appointment. During the first appointment, we ask that each patient bring:

  • A photo I.D.

  • Social Security card

  • Copy of the ticket

  • Any paperwork related to the referral

The cost to participate in OBI Services is $150.00 which includes: participant manual, certificate, Behavioral Health Screening (BHS), urine screenings sessions.

Please being an initial payment of $50.00 to your first appointment. If you do not have $50 at your first appointment, please make a payment in the amount that you are able. You will be asked to meet with Ashley Shearin, the Finance Director to set up a payment plan.
